I owe each and every one of you a big THANK YOU for your participation in various aspect of our most recent Elephant Round-up Event on August 27th. Because of YOU we exceeded my expectation in all the numbers. I do stand corrected, but I want to believe this year’s event was bigger than another other. We could not have done it without our DONORS and each of YOU who participated and sold tickets.
You know, we have some outstanding / great people in this County
Virginia has pulled together our income from this event and will be providing us with figures. We can assure you the funds from this event has gone to our “candidate fund account” and will be used to support candidates for 2012.
Business on the agenda will be to elect a “Nominating Committee” of three to research individuals who may wish or want to serve as a CCRWC Officer for 2012. Those positions will be; President, 1st Vice Pres/Program, 2nd Vice Pres/Membership, Secretary and Treasurer.
We are also looking for an individual that would like to serve on a special project to head up our “OFRW Educational Project”. I will have some information at this meeting if you are interested. I can also email you this project now for you to look it over. This consist of getting the packets to public schools, home schools, student organizations (student council, honor society, 4-H Clubs, Boys and Girls Scouts, etc), churches, civic clubs, and city or county officials. This pertains to those young individuals who are in the 9th, 10th or 11th grade. This could consist of your grandchild, a friends child or a neighbors child. This is a contest project and the winner/s will receive money.
I am aware that some individuals may not be able to attend due to another function this same night and they know who they are.
For those who know Susie and Jack Dake (Elaine’s Son), Susie lost her 97 year Mother early last week or the week before (time has gotten away from me). Please keep Susie and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

BRING OR INVITE A FRIEND
We hope to see you Tuesday evening. We’ve included in our email some friends that we’ve not seen in a while or who may not be a member today. Last month we had a good number of your members that attended the “OFRW Day at the Capitol”.
We have several things that we do need to take care of at this meeting and encourage everyone to attend. I had an email from Tulip and she did make it back to Kansas for another round of rehab after her second knee replacement.
Membership Chair, Kathi Trent, will have some exciting news to report regarding our May 17th, 2011, Membership Tea. She is working on the invitations that will be mailed later this month. She ask if you have someone that you would like to invite, please provide her with the name and address so they can be added to the list. Location and speaker has been secured and confirmed. If you signed up at the March meeting to help with goodies, we will have that list to remind you.
One would have thought, getting a speaker would not be a problem with so many newly elected Republicans. Both Kathi and Program Chair, Olivia Feagins has found they are working around the clock in trying to get everything accomplished before the end of May. Even the State Wide Gals and Guys are staying close to the Capitol in case they are needed.
Future Meetings:
April 16th, OFRW Cook Book Recipe Deadline (we’ll still take them)
April 29/30th OFRW Spring Board Meeting – Altus, Ok
May 6th State Gop Committee Meeting and Convention Banquet
May 7th State Gop Convention
May 17th, CCRWC Membership Tea—mark your calendar once again
August 12/13th OFRW Convention Tulsa
I just want to THANK EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU for allowing myself to serve you one more time, I am truly honored.
See you Tuesday evening
PAT T
