By · CommentsDear Ladies – Gents – Friends – Guest
I owe each and every one of you a big THANK YOU for your participation in various aspect of our most recent Elephant Round-up Event on August 27th. Because of YOU we exceeded my expectation in all the numbers. I do stand corrected, but I want to believe this year’s event was bigger than another other. We could not have done it without our DONORS and each of YOU who participated and sold tickets.
You know, we have some outstanding / great people in this County
Virginia has pulled together our income from this event and will be providing us with figures. We can assure you the funds from this event has gone to our “candidate fund account” and will be used to support candidates for 2012.
Business on the agenda will be to elect a “Nominating Committee” of three to research individuals who may wish or want to serve as a CCRWC Officer for 2012. Those positions will be; President, 1st Vice Pres/Program, 2nd Vice Pres/Membership, Secretary and Treasurer.
We are also looking for an individual that would like to serve on a special project to head up our “OFRW Educational Project”. I will have some information at this meeting if you are interested. I can also email you this project now for you to look it over. This consist of getting the packets to public schools, home schools, student organizations (student council, honor society, 4-H Clubs, Boys and Girls Scouts, etc), churches, civic clubs, and city or county officials. This pertains to those young individuals who are in the 9th, 10th or 11th grade. This could consist of your grandchild, a friends child or a neighbors child. This is a contest project and the winner/s will receive money.
I am aware that some individuals may not be able to attend due to another function this same night and they know who they are.
For those who know Susie and Jack Dake (Elaine’s Son), Susie lost her 97 year Mother early last week or the week before (time has gotten away from me). Please keep Susie and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
BRING A FRIEND
SEE YOU TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH.
HUGS TO EACH OF YOU
